The White Wines of Belledor: Splash Into Summer

Belledor is a known for its high-quality white wines, and for good reason. Amador’s unique climate and soil produce grapes that make for exceptional wines. In this post, we will explore the five white wines of Belledor: Sauvignon Blanc, Masquerade, Barbera Blanc, RosΓ© of Tempranillo, and Verdelho, discussing their characteristics and the perfect food pairings for each. We will also talk about enjoying these wines in different settings, such as by the pool, at the beach, or on a hike.

Sauvignon Blanc: This crisp and refreshing wine is a classic Belledor white. It has a light body and is often characterized by notes of citrus, green apple, and grapefruit. The Belledor Sauvignon Blanc pairs well with foods, such as seafood, salads, and poultry. It is the perfect wine to enjoy by the pool on a hot summer day.

Masquerade: This unique white wine is made from 100% Sauvignon Blanc. What makes Masquerade so unique is the way in which it is produced. Going through Malolactic Fermentation and barrel aged in oak, the Masquerade offers characteristics similar to Chardonnay. Creamy, soft and minimal tartness, this is a complex wine that offers a wide range of flavors. Masquerade is typically characterized by notes of tropical fruits, melon, and vanilla. This wine pairs well with creamy dishes, such as butter lemon chicken or Indian cuisine, as well as grilled meats and vegetables. It is an excellent wine to take on a day trip to the beach, where it can be enjoyed with a picnic lunch.

Barbera Blanc: This Belledor white is a lesser-known wine that is gaining in popularity due to its complex flavor profile. Barbera Blanc is a white wine made from the Barbera grape, which is more commonly used to produce red wines. This grape is known for its high acidity and bold flavors, which make it a great choice for white wine production. It is characterized by notes of strawberry, ripe watermelon, and raspberry quince. Barbera Blanc pairs well with rich seafood dishes, such as lobster or scallops, as well as creamy pasta dishes, or grilled meats. The screw cap closure makes it an excellent wine to take on a hike through the mountains.

RosΓ© of Tempranillo: This rosΓ© wine is produced from Tempranillo and has a light body with refreshing acidity. It has notes of strawberry, peach, and citrus. Our rosΓ© pairs well with light and fresh dishes, such as salads and grilled vegetables. It is the perfect wine to enjoy on a hot summer day at the beach.

Verdelho: This Belledor white is a medium-bodied wine that offers flavors of apricot, brown pear, honeysuckle and nectarine. Verdelho pairs well with rich and creamy dishes, such as risotto or a cheese platter. The screw cap closure makes it an excellent wine to take on camping trip so you don’t need to worry about remembering a corkscrew.

The white wines of Belledor offer a wide range of flavors and pair well with a variety of foods. Whether you are enjoying these wines by the pool, at the beach, or on a hike, they are sure to enhance any outdoor experience. Grab a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc, Masquerade, Barbera Blanc, RosΓ© of Tempranillo, or Verdelho, and enjoy the beauty of Belledor one sip at a time.
